This Special Place Was Built By One Man...
THE HOUSE
This special place was built by one man, it is more than just “Built”- it’s a work of art and definitive a “Green Home”. From the extra large second generation old growth logs (that are all from this property) to the hand built 18’ high fireplace, with stones hand-picked from the Silver Lake quarry just 30 minutes away, this home is the ultimate statement of the utilization of local resources and a small carbon footprint. The Swedish cope style has each log hand carved to fit onto its neighbor. Most of the joinery work is so tight that a piece of paper cannot be slipped into the chink less seam between each log, an absolutely stunning work of craftsmanship and art.
OUTSIDE
After driving up the 400 foot private driveway running past the mixed forest of Cedar and Fir trees, pond, riding arena and old-fashioned monitor barn you will notice the large fort like façade of the Log House. A large rock outcropping hides the private entrance to the B&S Suite, which houses 1200 square feet of relaxation.
During summer months you will find flower beds, a large vegetable garden along with various herbs as well as two small orchards growing around the 5 acre estate. You are free to wander to your hearts content to soak up the beauty of this great PNW property. There are some nice sitting areas to enjoy the peaceful surroundings. If you head to the back you will find Cottonball and Oz, our resident Miniature Goats. Coco & Beanie, the miniature horses, may also be with them or possibly in their own little pasture or stall. Making your rounds, you will also meet Abbey and Zoe, our two very friendly dogs, the chickens and the 3 cats that house in the barn.
